Receive balance changes with 0 VND fee at BIDV

With just a few simple steps right on the BIDV SmartBanking application, users can switch to receiving balance change notifications on the application (OTT messages). A safe and completely free solution, helping to replace the traditional form of receiving change notifications via SMS, which is subject to fees from telecommunications networks.

As part of the “Zero Fee” policy that has been implemented for many years to encourage customers to increase their use of digital banking products and services, BIDV has developed and perfected the feature of receiving notifications on the application (OTT messages) and provided it free of charge to customers using BIDV SmartBanking. With this solution, users no longer have to worry about monthly SMS Banking service fees but can still enjoy many of the service's superior benefits.

With just an Internet connection, users can receive notifications from the Bank on the BIDV SmartBanking application anytime, anywhere, including: balance fluctuation messages, credit card transaction messages, loan/deposit account notifications, promotional notifications, etc.

In particular, because there are no character restrictions and no accents like SMS messages, OTT messages provide complete transaction information in a clear and easy-to-understand manner, including: transaction time, payment account, transaction amount, final balance and transaction content. The color of the transaction amount also "changes" according to fluctuations, specifically: debit transactions (money out of the account) are red, credit transactions (money into the account) are green; helping users to easily distinguish and track.

Because messages are generated and transmitted directly within the banking system, without going through a third-party service, OTT messages are especially accurate and safe, minimizing the risk of users receiving fake or fraudulent messages.

At BIDV, customers can proactively register to receive balance changes on the BIDV SmartBanking App without having to go to the counter, quickly and conveniently with a fee of 0 VND, and an unlimited number of balance changes.

To register to receive free Balance Changes on BIDV SmartBanking application, customers follow these steps:

Step 1: Access BIDV SmartBanking App/select "Register for service" cluster.

Step 2: Select Balance Change => OTT Service => Register.

Step 3: Enter the OTP code to authenticate and complete registration.

At the same time, to save monthly BSMS costs, customers can cancel the service right on BIDV SmartBanking with the following steps:

Step 1: Access BIDV SmartBanking App/select "Register for service" cluster.

Step 2: Select Balance Change => BSMS Service => Cancel subscription.

Step 3: Enter the OTP code to authenticate and complete registration.

BIDV SmartBanking always waives 100% of money transfer fees and many other fees such as: Electronic Banking service maintenance fee, issuance fee and lifetime annual fee for Non-physical Card, account opening fee As you wish is phone number/Nickname, balance change notification fee, default account management fee (with monthly financial transactions)... and many incentives for new customers registering and using the service.
