The essay "Starting with leaving behind" is the 6th book of journalist Duong Thanh Truyen.

In part 3 of the book - Stories of people , it is like the author's heartfelt message to his brothers, friends, and benefactors that he had the opportunity to meet and bond with. They are mentioned, sometimes by their full names such as Nguyen The Truat, Nguyen Thi Oanh, Ueno Miyuki, Thich Nhat Hanh, Le Van Nghia; sometimes with just simple names like Ms. Yen or without names like the four companions on the journey to the top of Bach Ma.

Reader Nguyen Thanh Hung Hai took a bus from Can Duoc (Long An) to Ho Chi Minh City to attend the book launch program.

However, when asked about the person who had the greatest influence on him, journalist Duong Thanh Truyen said that it was his father. From a man who had thousands of gold taels in the 70s, 10 hectares of tea and coffee...; by 1982, when he was over 55 years old, he became penniless.

“My father went bankrupt and lost everything, but he did not lose faith in life. He left me an example: in adversity, you can still live better. Willpower and determination are the great assets I received from my father,” journalist Duong Thanh Truyen confided.

At the book launch, many readers were interested in the book's title, and were also curious and wondered about the word "leave behind". Journalist Duong Thanh Truyen said that he had no intention of showing off what he left behind, nor did he think he would leave behind anything. This collection of essays is just stories that he recorded and copied from what others had left behind. They could be stories about life, suggesting to the reader a message, a way of thinking; even a way of life, and that motivates him to live differently, to live better.
