In March 2023, the company planted the first batch in 4 ponds with a quantity of 1.5 million fry/batch. In early June 2023, the most modern breeding facility in the province began harvesting the first batch with more than 10 tons of products measuring 40 fish/kg, generating revenue of more than 2 billion VND and profit of 300 million VND. Up to this point, the facility has an output of 30 tons, with revenue of more than 6 billion VND...

Through the advice and guidance of the Center for Application of Science and Technology and Protection of Plants and Livestock in Ky Anh district, Mr. Le Anh Sy (Ky Thu commune) boldly invested about 800 million VND to build 2 floating round tanks (with solid iron frames, lined with canvas at the bottom and around, area of 130 m2 ) to raise high-tech intensive shrimp. Although the stocking density is up to 250 - 300 shrimp/ m3 (5 - 6 times higher than earthen ponds), thanks to regular monitoring, strictly controlled disease sources, and accurate calculation of food and mineral amounts, the shrimp grow quite quickly, bringing in hundreds of millions of VND in profit each crop.
Mr. Sy shared: “Previously, I and other households in the area mainly raised shrimp in extensive or semi-intensive farming methods in earthen ponds and dug ponds lined with tarpaulin, so we encountered difficulties in managing the pond environment, controlling diseases, low survival rates, and slow growth of shrimp. Currently, we have invested in synchronized ponds, modern technology, and adequate oxygen aeration, so the farming efficiency is outstanding.”

In 2023, farmers in Nghi Xuan, Loc Ha, Thach Ha, Cam Xuyen districts, Ky Anh district and town raised 2,239 hectares; of which, intensive, high-tech shrimp farming, production under the forms of cooperation and association reached 629 hectares, semi-intensive shrimp farming 500 hectares, and 1,110 hectares of improved extensive farming.
To improve farming efficiency and ensure safety in production, many organizations and individuals continue to invest in many projects and infrastructure for intensive shrimp farming with a yield of 10 - 15 tons/ha/crop in earthen ponds and 20 - 30 tons/ha/crop in high-tech ponds on sand. Some areas have been upgraded by investors to high-tech farming such as: Mai Phu, Ho Do (Loc Ha), Ky Hai (Ky Anh district)...
Along with overcoming difficulties in production infrastructure, input material prices, low commercial shrimp prices, polluted water sources..., farmers in the area have focused on applying scientific and technological advances, implementing 2-3-phase farming, selecting good breeds and controlling feed, antibiotics, minerals, water quality, and temperature well to achieve the highest production efficiency.

Mr. Luu Quang Can - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Fisheries Sub-Department said: Thanks to the synchronous and effective implementation of measures and solutions in direction, operation, strengthening state management in all fields, implementing well policies to support production, encourage investment, enhance the application of science and technology and follow the correct procedures, shrimp output this year is estimated at 5,800 tons (exceeding 2% of the annual plan and increasing 2% compared to 2022). The production value of this key product is estimated at 595 billion VND, making an important contribution to the picture of aquaculture, job creation, and increasing income for people.
