Mr. Le Huynh Minh Tu - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City said that this year, District 1 and the Department organized the program right in the city center to help people shop conveniently, accompanying District 7 and District 11.
The Department took a stronger and more drastic step when, at the same time, it simultaneously organized 3 events at 3 strategic locations of the city including Union Square Shopping Center (District 1), SCVivo City Shopping Center (District 7), Southern Center for Science and Technology Information (District 11) taking place from August 30 and lasting for 9-10 days.
This year, the program has some new features: The event's official Information Portal has been completed to help consumers fully understand the event's time, location, participating brands, major promotional products, etc.
The program has more than 500 participating brands with famous domestic and foreign brands. The discount level is 80% with many shopping vouchers from many product categories (cosmetics, perfumes, fashion, watches, bags, wallets, office shoes, sports shoes, suitcases...).
People are encouraged to shop cashlessly.
This is considered the biggest brand promotion event ever in Vietnam.
At the same time, this is the first year that the Department of Industry and Trade cooperates with the Department of Tourism to organize the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City International Gift and Souvenir Exhibition Fair, with a scale of 100 booths.
The unit focuses on tourism-related products that can be produced on a large scale such as textiles, footwear, handicrafts, food products, etc.
