In the current period, Tuyen Quang province is continuing to promote the role of Prestigious People - core forces setting examples in patriotic emulation movements, focusing on actively propagating and mobilizing people to participate in effectively implementing the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2030. In addition, it is necessary to carry out emulation and reward work well; discover, foster and replicate advanced models of Prestigious People, core forces.

For the Mong people in Tien Toc village, Binh An commune, Lam Binh district, Mr. Giang A Chênh is a person of exemplary prestige and has a special influence on the community, because he always promotes his role and responsibility well with movements and activities in the village and commune.
Mr. Chênh has a very convincing way of mobilizing the masses. He chose to propagate in the Mong language so that people would know about the Party's policies and guidelines, the policies and laws of the Party and the State. He encouraged people not to participate in illegal religious organizations, to maintain security and order in the locality; to donate land for rural roads, he set an example first, and the people in the village followed suit.
He encouraged people to grow grass to raise buffaloes and cows for fattening. People in Tien Toc agreed, believed in what he said and followed his actions, joining hands to develop the economy and build a cultural life. For many years, Tien Toc village has had no drug addiction or petty theft, and village solidarity has been strengthened and tightened.
In Khang Nhat commune, Son Duong district, for more than 10 years as a prestigious person in Bo Ho village, Ms. Hoang Thi Uyen has always been trusted and respected by local people. In 2018, to set an example in building new rural areas, Ms. Uyen voluntarily donated 354m2 of land to build a cultural house. Following her, the villagers contributed nearly 200 million VND in money and working days. By the end of 2020, the Bo Ho village cultural house was completed and put into use in the joy and excitement of all the people in the village.
Concerned about the fact that the villagers still face many economic difficulties, after carefully studying the economic experience learning trips and listening to the thoughts and aspirations of the villagers, Ms. Uyen and the village party cell discussed and mobilized the villagers to plant forests as raw materials for paper production, green tea, and raise buffaloes and cows for breeding.
Ms. Uyen and the party members in the cell both set an example and went to each household to mobilize people, holding their hands and showing them how to do it until they understood and mastered the method. Ms. Uyen established 3 economic production groups to support and connect to help each other in production, especially poor households. From a poor village, up to now, Bo Ho has risen from the household economy, the average income per capita of the whole village reached over 43 million VND/year.
Continue to promote and enhance the role of prestigious people in patriotic emulation movements
In particular, over the past nearly 4 years, thanks to the effective implementation of ethnic policies, especially the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period, the socio-economic life of people in Tuyen Quang province has been gradually improved, the number of poor households has decreased by 3-5%/year. Clean inter-village concrete roads, spacious village cultural houses, and many roads with lights every night are all thanks to the efforts, consensus, cooperation, and contribution of the people, especially thanks to prestigious people such as Mr. Giang A Chênh and Ms. Hoang Thi Uyen.
Mr. Chênh and Ms. Uyên are two of 1,243 prestigious people among ethnic minorities in Tuyen Quang province who have been promoting their roles in many fields, they have truly become "supports" for ethnic minorities at the grassroots level. Along with Mr. Chênh and Ms. Uyên, we can mention Mr. Giàng Seo Mua, Mong ethnic group, Vang On village, Trung Minh commune, Yen Son district, who has always been exemplary in activities, actively mobilizing households in the village to stabilize their lives and not migrate freely; Mr. Luc Van Bay, San Diu ethnic group, Ninh Lai village, Ninh Lai commune, Son Duong district, Ethnic Cultural Artist with contributions to the work of preserving, restoring and teaching the Soong Co singing culture of the San Diu ethnic group; Mr. Nong Quy Tho, Dao ethnic group, Ban Ba 2 village, Trung Ha commune, Chiem Hoa district, has mobilized and propagated resettlement households to renovate their houses according to the Ban Ba cultural tourism village project, and mobilized households to participate in traditional embroidery classes of the Red Dao ethnic group...
It can be said that in the development of the ethnic minority areas of Tuyen Quang province today, besides the attention and investment of the Party and the State, the rise of each person also has the important contribution of prestigious people. They have become the "support" of the village, the ones who "spread the fire" and "keep the fire", joining hands with the Party committee and local government to build the homeland increasingly prosperous.
