After that, I was transferred to many other units and forces to participate in combat in the battlefields in the country. In 1984, I went to Cambodia with Group 779 (Military Region 7) as an expert to support the friendly country's army in security and training forces in Kamphong Thom province.”
Under the gathering and encouragement of the dedicated Party cell secretary, the people of Vinh Phu village actively participated in building the new rural area.
In addition to participating in fierce battles on the southern battlefield and making many life-threatening transport trips on the Ho Chi Minh trail, during his four years in Cambodia, he and his teammates often had to face countless hardships, dangers, and attacks from enemy remnants.
Fighting through the battlefields of war on friendly soil, he was wounded many times and suffered 61% health damage, broken teeth, rib injuries and many other post-war syndromes. By the end of 1988, he was demobilized, ending his military career with the rank of captain.
