Research on expanding the organization of the National Great Unity Day

On the afternoon of November 19, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc attended the ceremony to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day and National Great Unity Day at the Academy of Finance.

Sharing joy with teachers and students of the Academy of Finance, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien believes that with the tradition of 60 years of construction and development, the Academy of Finance will successfully implement its philosophy in training human resources, "training what society needs, not just training what we have" to provide high-quality financial-accounting training and scientific research products for society.

According to Mr. Do Van Chien, for over 20 years, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has initiated the organization of the National Great Unity Day in residential areas on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front - the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18).

In practice, the Festival has received the attention of leaders at all levels and the response of people from all walks of life, contributing to consolidating and strengthening the great national unity bloc, creating social consensus, mobilizing the strength of the people, and joining hands to successfully implement many goals and tasks of the country, each locality and base.

From that result, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front reported to the Secretariat to agree to organize a pilot Great Solidarity Day in the Vietnamese community abroad.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front wishes to study more practices, and if possible, report to competent authorities to propose and expand the organization of the National Great Unity Day in administrative agencies, public service agencies, enterprises, etc.

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front suggested that educational institutions such as the Academy of Finance can organize the annual celebration of Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20 in conjunction with the National Great Unity Day with meaningful contents such as: reviewing the traditional history of the Vietnam Fatherland Front along with reviewing the history of the formation and development of the Academy; showing gratitude to generations of teachers and those who have contributed to the construction of the Academy; social security activities each year at some humanitarian addresses to help teachers and students in difficult circumstances...

Congratulating teachers on November 20, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc acknowledged that in recent years, teachers, officials and employees of the entire Academy have made efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges to complete targets and plans for teaching and scientific research, bringing about many positive results.

During more than 60 years of construction and development, the Academy of Finance has contributed significant human resources to the country's socio-economic development in the fields of economics, finance, and accounting and has become a trusted address in "attracting talents - nurturing human hearts - perfecting personality - developing human resources."

Up to now, the Academy of Finance has become a multidisciplinary, multi-modal training institution with a research orientation, providing high-quality human resources combining training with scientific research, meeting the needs of society, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.

Emphasizing that we are living in the 4.0 era, taking digital technology as a breakthrough, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the school continue to innovate and update training programs; strengthen cooperation with international schools; especially improve practical skills for learners...

"We are building a socialist-oriented market economy, so labor must also follow market mechanisms, and school training products must meet the needs of domestic and foreign corporations and companies," the Deputy Prime Minister stated.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested the Academy of Finance to continue promoting scientific research activities and putting research results into practice. The Ministry of Finance will continue to pay attention and accompany the Academy in the process of building and developing, becoming a leading financial training institution, providing human resources for the domestic and international labor market.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung, Director of the Academy of Finance, over the past 60 years, the Academy has made continuous efforts in training and fostering talents and financial human resources to meet the needs of national construction and development.

Up to now, the Academy has trained more than 500 PhDs, more than 10,000 Masters and more than 100,000 Bachelors of Economics for the country and more than 500 Bachelors and Masters for Laos and Cambodia./.
