Vietnamese artists learn from Korean and Chinese stars to hold fan meetings: Meeting one fan, meeting dozens of people

Fan meetings are booming in Vietnamese showbiz. The latest is the website selling tickets for Quang Hung MasterD's fan meeting crashing, Soobin organized a prom theme.

On November 20, the third fan meeting of singer Quang Hung MasterD - a hot name after Anh trai say hi - opened for ticket sales, crashing the ticketing website CTicket. The event will take place on December 1.

The upcoming fan meeting on December 4 of singer Soobin - the hottest talent in Anh trai vu ngan cong gai - will open for ticket sales on the evening of November 23 and is expected to "sell out" in the blink of an eye. Previously, fan meetings of other talents such as Jun Pham, Duy Khanh, Neko Le all "sold out" in just 1 or 2 minutes.

Soobin held a prom-themed fan meeting, so on social media, fans were frantically searching for princess and evening gowns. On the female side, Chi Pu's first fancon (fan meeting combined with concert) recently invested in form and choreography.

Fan meetings and fancon are new forms, learned from Korean and Chinese showbiz, helping artists get closer to their fans. "Services" for fans (fanservice) also flourish through these events.

In particular, the fan meeting that recorded a large number of guests was the fan meeting of actor Duy Khanh ( Anh trai vu ngan cong gai ) on November 9 with about 15 artists, including 10 other talented people. The artists were close friends so they talked, joked and danced happily, making fans laugh non-stop.

Many fans believe that the benefits from these fan meetings are worth the several hundred thousand VND spent on tickets.

With Duy Khanh's fan meeting, they bought tickets for one artist but got to meet and interact with dozens of artists.

Singer Cuong Seven's fan meeting on November 19 was special in that it was free of charge and did not sell tickets. The event lasted for 7 hours, including meetings, autograph signings, performances, comedy... Cuong Seven spent a lot of time talking to fans.

Or singer Jun Pham turned a fan meeting event into a mini auction to raise money for the Scars of Life program, of which he is an ambassador. With items sold at the fan meeting, plus appeals through other activities, the amount of donations reached 5 billion VND.

After recent successful game shows, many artists have gained a large fan base.

Fans, both new and old, have the need to meet and interact with artists after a period of supporting them through social networks.

Therefore, coming out of game shows, artists are actively organizing fan meetings to meet fans. In October and November, there were more than 20 fan meeting events, big and small. Quang Hung MasterD alone sold thousands of tickets.

Various "services" for fans

At fan meetings, artists will perform many "services" for fans such as taking private photos, group photos, receiving gifts, chatting privately, playing games with fans, inviting fans to after parties...

There are outstanding gifts such as face chains or many fans choose to wear bridal dresses to take pictures with their idols.

To prepare for fan meetings or concerts, many artists or artist groups design and sell uniform shirts and scarves for fans, such as the shirts of Chin Muoi and Tre after Anh trai vu ngan cong gai.

On the sidelines of fan meetings, fans also draw, design and print items such as rounded-corner cards, photos, and souvenirs with images of their idols to give to each other.

Through activities like these, fans find like-minded people to connect with in real life.

FCs (fan clubs) also actively carry out large and small projects to express their admiration and promote their idols' names.

Besides, there are music performances that are also expanded into mini fan meetings: artists finish singing at 10pm but stay to interact and sign autographs until midnight; when the stage closes, they go outside to continue signing autographs.

Among fan meetings held at theaters, stages, conference halls... singer - actor Truong The Vinh's fan meeting was quite "unique" when it was held at a horse riding club in Binh Chanh, Ho Chi Minh City on November 24.

Since this is a place that often hosts horseback riding and farm experiences, fans are anticipating that the exchange activities will also include these contents.
