Nghe An: Highlights on March 11

* On the morning of March 11, with the consent of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, and Nghe An province, Nghe An Public Security solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the People's Public Security studying and implementing Uncle Ho's Six Teachings (March 11, 1948 - March 11, 2024) and receiving the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.

* On March 11, 2024, the Standing Committee of the Quy Chau District Party Committee held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on personnel work. At the ceremony, Decision No. 2448-QD/TU, dated March 1, 2024 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on the transfer and appointment of Comrade Bui Van Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Deputy Secretary of the Quy Chau District Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term was announced.

* The North-South Expressway project through Nghe An province is 87.84 km long. The project has the longest and highest bridges crossing the most beautiful route of the North-South Expressway such as Hung Duc Bridge, Xuan Duong 2 Bridge, Than Vu 2 Bridge, O O Bridge... built by contractors and engineers from Nghe An.

* While the price of cassava tubers increased from 2.7-2.8 million VND/ton (increased from 500,000 - 600,000 VND/ton), after Tet, the cassava starch market has been difficult to consume, causing a number of cassava starch factories and processing facilities to have a backlog of goods.

* On March 11, Vinh City authorities mobilized machinery to level and clear the bottleneck at the intersection of Hai Thuong Lan Ong and Tue Tinh, moving towards upgrading Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street, which has been degraded over the years.

* On March 11, the People's Court of Nghe An province opened a first-instance criminal trial against Nguyen Huu Diep (born in 1994), residing in Thanh Ngoc commune, Thanh Chuong district, for murder. Previously, due to a conflict while playing billiards, Diep chased after his neighbor with a knife and slashed him multiple times, causing his death.
