According to VGC , a new Rockstar Games job posting is hiding a major clue about the GTA 6 release date, or at least that's what fans of the Grand Theft Auto franchise are hoping for. Rockstar previously confirmed that GTA 6 will release at an unspecified time in 2025, but the developer has yet to provide any further specifics.
This job posting is specifically for the Russian localization of the game. And as some GTA fans have pointed out, this job posting suggests that Rockstar Games is planning to release the most anticipated game of all time in early 2025, rather than later in the year as many had predicted.
GTA 6 is likely to be released early next year
As pointed out on Reddit, the job posting is for a 12-month contract. Meanwhile, the job posting's "responsibilities" section mentions that the candidate will "ensure the highest possible quality of the final product." Typically, localization happens toward the end of a game's development process. On top of that, the contract is only for 12 months, and it even states that the candidate will be working on the "final product."
So 12 months from now suggests GTA 6 will most likely arrive in early 2025. The Reddit post also notes: "They probably wouldn't hire a language staff only to have them leave in March 2025 and release the game in late 2025, as the game would likely need more testing time by then."
But so far, Rockstar Games has not commented on any of these rumors. So everything is still at the level of speculation, but the well-founded arguments of the gaming community suggest that the potential release date of GTA 6 could come sooner than expected.
