A representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that the unit has requested units and schools to proactively develop plans to respond to the storm's developments; students will be off school tomorrow, Saturday (September 7, including both regular and extracurricular classes) until the storm dissipates.

Units and schools urgently deploy solutions to ensure safety for students, staff, teachers, employees and teaching facilities and equipment; strengthen coordination with students' families to manage students during the time they are off school.

In response to storms, educational institutions need to review the tree system on campus. If they detect perennial trees at risk of breaking or falling, they must report it for timely handling. In cases where this cannot be done immediately, they must issue a warning of danger and contact a professional agency immediately for handling as soon as possible.

Require educational institutions to have plans and promptly relocate assets, machinery, equipment, tables, chairs, records, and books to safe places, ensuring no damage, breakage, or loss, and minimizing damage caused by storms.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training requires units and schools to organize 24/7 on-call duty; maintain regular contact with authorities and local rescue forces to promptly respond when incidents occur; at the same time, promptly overcome damage, clean up and sanitize schools and classrooms immediately after the storm, ensuring safety and preventing epidemics.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 10:00 a.m. on September 6, the center of super typhoon Yagi (typhoon No. 3) was located at about 19.3 degrees North latitude; 112.0 degrees East longitude, about 130km East Southeast of Hainan Island (China); about 570km East Southeast of Quang Ninh.

The strongest wind near the center of the super storm is level 16 (184-201km/h), gusting over level 17, moving west at a speed of 15-20km/h.

As of 10 p.m. today, the center of storm No. 3 is at approximately 19.9 degrees North latitude; 110.1 degrees East longitude, on the mainland north of Hainan Island, approximately 350km East Southeast of Quang Ninh. The strongest wind near the center of the super storm is level 15, gusting to level 17, moving in a West Northwest direction, at a speed of 15-20km/h.

At around 10am on September 7, the centre of storm No. 3 was at around 20.8 degrees North latitude; 107.8 degrees East longitude, over the sea of Quang Ninh - Nam Dinh provinces. The strongest wind near the centre of the super storm was level 12-13, gusting to level 15, moving in a West Northwest direction, at a speed of 15-20km/h.

As of 2 p.m. today, 10 provinces and cities have given a total of 5.6 million students a day off to avoid storm Yagi:
