In 2 days (February 21 and 22), the Ha Long City Military Party Committee held the 16th Congress, term 2025-2030. This is the Congress chosen by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army to be held first to gain experience throughout the army at the grassroots level of the local bloc.
The City Military Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term is a broad political activity, taking place at a time when the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people are striving to successfully complete the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
With the efforts of each cadre, party member and soldier, in the past term, the Ha Long City Military Party Committee has promoted democracy, solidarity, unity, focused on leadership, direction, and successfully implemented all goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 15th City Military Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.
Highlights include: Building a national defense foundation, associated with the people's security posture, building an increasingly solid city defense area. The city has invested 23 billion VND to build a modern training ground; repaired and built 4 new headquarters of the Military Command at the commune and ward levels; and at the same time strictly managed national defense land and military works. In addition, the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army every year always meets 100% of the target with high quality; building a strong militia and reserve force. The city's armed forces have actively participated in the program "Building a new countryside, civilized urban area" with many practical activities such as: supporting the construction of lighting lines, concrete roads, irrigation systems within the fields, sponsoring students in difficult circumstances with a total cost of over 1.8 billion VND and contributing over 3,700 working days. Along with that, strictly maintaining combat readiness regimes; Improve the quality of training, drills, sports, competitions, achieve good quality, high achievements...
In the 2020 - 2025 term, the unit was honored to receive many noble awards from the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 3 Command, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Military Command and Ha Long City, such as: Emulation Flag, Determined to Win Unit, Certificate of Merit, Certificate of Merit... In particular, the Party Committee has been recognized for 5 consecutive years as Excellently Completing and Well Completing Tasks, affirming the strength and effectiveness in leadership and direction of implementing political tasks.
Promoting the achieved results, in the 2025-2030 term, the Ha Long City Military Party Committee is determined to build a lean, compact, and strong city armed force to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation; at the same time, constantly innovate and improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization; build a clean and strong Party organization associated with building a comprehensively strong "exemplary, typical" unit. At the same time, coordinate and cooperate with other forces to maintain political security - social order and safety, proactively repel risks and challenges, create a stable environment for socio-economic development, contribute to building a "model, rich, civilized, and affectionate" Ha Long city, actively contributing to the strong development of the nation in the new era.
With careful preparation, urgency and high sense of responsibility, the Military Party Congress of Ha Long City will certainly be a great success, setting out goals, tasks and breakthrough solutions for the new term.
