The first time admiring the thatched roof houses of ethnic minorities and the production tools of the highland people, Mr. Nguyen Van Bang, Dong Da district (Hanoi) could not help but be surprised and delighted. Mr. Bang shared: Directly learning and interacting with the unique culture of ethnic groups is truly a wonderful experience. When admiring with my own eyes the highland cultural space and touching the symbolic items of the culture of the ethnic groups of Dien Bien in this cultural space imbued with the highland character, I saw that the ethnic groups here still preserve many unique features, their own characteristics, clearly expressing their national identity.

Not only Mr. Bang, many locals and tourists share the same impression of a miniature Dien Bien with vibrant cultural colors. Taking place from December 15 to 17 on Dien Tien Hoang tourist street, the highland cultural space introduces to the people of the capital and visitors from all over the country the unique cultural features of Dien Bien's ethnic groups. When visiting, visitors can admire the space recreating the highland culture, community activities, and production labor. Experience traditional crafts, ethnic costumes and immerse themselves in traditional cultural activities such as the Khen dance, the Thai ethnic lucky praying ceremony. So that each local and tourist who comes here feels like they are lost in the home of the hospitable indigenous people.

Under the old thatched roof, the space of a Mong ethnic family is always bustling, filled with the laughter of tourists. Inside the house, the cozy wood stove area, the area displaying local products, a pair of buffalo horns containing wine, and bamboo wine cups are always ready to welcome guests... In front of the door, a variety of agricultural products and handicraft tools associated with the daily life of the Mong ethnic people are displayed. Not far from the thatched roof house, Mong women embroider and paint beeswax patterns, Mong men enthusiastically play the flute, sometimes high-pitched, sometimes low-pitched...

Mr. Nguyen Van Manh, Director of the Cultural - Radio - Television Center of Tua Chua district, said: In Tua Chua district, the Mong ethnic group accounts for more than 72%. Therefore, we bring to the festival the cultural space of the Mong ethnic group with its rich identity to introduce to the people and tourists. Here, we build traditional ethnic houses and unique cultural features that are still preserved in the district, such as traditional crafts, Khen dancing, enjoying ethnic cuisine...

With many diverse activities, the highland cultural space always attracts a large number of visitors to visit and experience. Mr. Nguyen Minh Phu, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien said: Coming to the highland cultural space, people and tourists feel like they are setting foot in a highland village in Dien Bien, experiencing the life, work and culture of the ethnic people. Thereby, contributing to promoting the traditional cultural identity of the ethnic groups in Dien Bien province to the people of the capital, domestic and international tourists. This is also an opportunity for Dien Bien to promote its advantages and tourism potential, attracting investment capital to develop the smokeless industry in the coming time.

The sound of drums and gongs echoes like an invitation for tourists to come to the cultural space of Dien Bien highlands.
