In 2024, the socio-economic situation of Nam Dinh province is assessed to continue to be stable, with development compared to the previous year, with 14/14 targets reaching and exceeding the set plan.
In particular, the province's economy maintained a fairly high growth rate, with the total GRDP estimated to increase by 10.35%. The industrial production index increased by 14.5%. Total retail sales of goods and services are estimated to increase by 13.8%. Total export turnover of goods is estimated to increase by 30.8%.

This result was achieved thanks to the province's strong investment promotion and attraction activities, with priority given to attracting high-tech industrial production projects. According to statistics, by November 15, 2024, the province had granted new investment registration certificates and adjusted capital increases for 73 projects (including 41 domestic investment projects and 32 FDI projects) with a total registered capital of about VND 9,303 billion and USD 252.9 million.
By 2025, attracting investment in industry is still a major orientation of Nam Dinh. The locality continues to focus on attracting and developing industries with modern technology, high added value, green and sustainable development, capable of making great contributions to the province's budget revenue; promoting trade promotion, creating favorable conditions for businesses to seek and expand export markets and consume products; strengthening promotion, advertising, and effectively and sustainably exploiting tourism types and products that are the province's strengths.
Recently, in Nam Dinh province, two large production projects in the field of protective gloves and projectors with a total investment of nearly 100 million USD have been started, expected to create high industrial production value for Nam Dinh in 2025 and the following years.
Accordingly, at the Bao Minh Industrial Park expansion (Vu Ban district), Kien Hung Construction Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Xingyu Vietnam Safety Gloves Production Project, of the Xingyu Group (Singapore) with a total investment of nearly 84.5 million USD, equivalent to more than 2,000 billion VND.
The project has a production scale of 300 million pairs of labor protection gloves/year, equivalent to 1,950 tons/year; capacity of about 10 million pairs of medical gloves/year, equivalent to 300 tons/year. The project is expected to go into production from December 2025.
Projector manufacturing investment project of XGIMI Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd. - Phase I was started in My Thuan Industrial Park. The project has a total investment of 13 million USD. According to the project implementation progress: By the second quarter of 2025, complete the groundbreaking procedures according to regulations; from the second quarter of 2025 to the second quarter of 2026, basic construction; from the second quarter of 2026 to the third quarter of 2026, install machinery and test operation; from the third quarter of 2026, officially operate. After completing construction, the total capacity of the project is expected to reach about 400 thousand products/year.
