(Dan Tri) - The MV "A Duck" has just reached 1 billion views on YouTube, which is said to bring in "huge" income for the channel owner from this platform.
Recently, the MV for the song "A Duck" - the version posted on a children's music channel - has reached 1 billion views, becoming the first Vietnamese song to reach a billion views on the YouTube platform.
Many audiences were surprised when a children's song set an impressive record, surpassing many products of famous singers in the Vietnamese music industry such as Son Tung M-TP, Hoang Thuy Linh, Jack...
Netizens also left many questions about the revenue that YouTube channel owners receive when the MV reaches a "huge" number of views.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy ("Huy NL", founder of Schannel, one of the largest media networks in Vietnam) said that revenue from YouTube depends on many factors, but there is still a formula to estimate average income.
"For a normal YouTube channel, the average income received when a video reaches 1 million views is 4-6 million VND. For children's content videos, the revenue will be lower, about 2-3 million VND for 1 million views. However, this is not the final amount of money, but must be deducted from 2 other fees.
If the YouTube channel owner joins a media network, an additional 10-20% payment fee will be deducted. Revenue must also be deducted with an additional 7% income tax," said Mr. Huy.
Thus, with 1 billion views as of June 17, the estimated income that YouTube channel owners receive can range from 2 to 3 billion VND.
Another social media expert told Dan Tri reporter that YouTube revenue depends on many factors related to views, ad exposure, ad exposure time, users in each country... so the estimated numbers are for reference only.
"Revenue from views depends on each channel's content and the type of advertising. Each channel will have different revenue sharing rates, there is no fixed formula or rate," said this expert.
