Mongolia brings steppe beauty to Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival

Since Mongolia exempted visas for Vietnamese tourists from March 7, 2023, Mongolian tourism is becoming more and more attractive to Vietnamese tourists to the land of vast steppes, horse hooves and yurts - round tents.

During this year's Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival (taking place from April 4 to 7 at 23/9 Park), a Mongolian delegation with members from many travel companies from this country also came to Ho Chi Minh City for the first time to introduce Mongolian tourism to Vietnamese tourists.

Mr. ZolKhuu Ulambayar is the general director of a travel company in Mongolia called Maikhan Camp & TDM Tourist LLC, who came to Ho Chi Minh City himself on this occasion to promote tourism.

As a Mongolian, he speaks Vietnamese quite well. He excitedly said that in the past year, since Mongolia exempted visas for Vietnamese tourists, more Vietnamese tourists have joined his company's tours.

"My company specializes in receiving tours for Vietnamese people to Mongolia. Last year, about 2,300 Vietnamese people came to Mongolia. We hope that more and more people will know about and travel to Mongolia," he shared.

He also added that an 8-day tour to Mongolia to experience life in the vast, boundless steppe with horse hooves, round tents... costs about 1,300 USD, not including airfare.

"Mongolia has a population of only 3 million people and an area 5 times larger than Vietnam. The best time to visit Mongolia is in the summer, from June to October every year. In addition, the snowy winter weather also attracts some tourists who want to experience winter," he added.

During the tourism promotion trip at Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival this time, many travel companies attended and introduced tours, including Maikhan Camp & TDM Tourist LLC, Kazakh Tour, Mongolia Tourism Company, Legend Travel, Central Asia Travel, Visit Mongolia Tour, Amicus...

The group also organized a music and art performance program called Mongolian Road Show with many young artists from Mongolia.

The show has 3 time slots during the 4 days of the festival, including 10:30, 16:30 and 19:30.
