Mong Cai effectively performs key tasks

To complete the targets set out in the Resolution of the 24th Congress of the City Party Committee, Mong Cai has had many effective solutions to carry out key tasks.

The city continues to innovate methods, improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and organizations at all levels. The city Party Committee focuses on leading, directing and organizing the implementation of innovation, streamlining the political system's apparatus, and operating effectively and efficiently. The city has merged 4 Party cells under the grassroots Party Committee; newly established 8 Party cells at health stations; 17/17 communes and wards established military Party cells; transferred 3 grassroots Party cells to the central vertical Party Committee for management; and admitted 857 new Party members.

The city is interested in expanding and improving the effectiveness of foreign relations, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, stable, cooperative and mutually developed border area; coordinating with the Party Committee and authorities of Dongxing City and Fangcheng District (China) to strengthen foreign relations and comprehensive cooperation in all fields in accordance with the spirit of the Vietnam-China joint statement; having many initiatives in the agreements signed by the two countries, Quang Ninh Province, Mong Cai City with Chinese provinces and cities.

The city focuses on arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country; promoting the strength of Vietnamese human values in the cause of national construction and defense, international integration... The education and training career has many positive changes with investment in school facilities and equipment; the quality of teaching and learning is constantly improved. The health system continues to be consolidated, expanded and developed; the quality of medical examination and treatment services is increasingly improved, contributing to significantly improving community health indicators.

Tran Phu High School, Mong Cai is invested in spaciousness — Tran Phu High School is newly invested and put into use from the 2024-2025 school year.

The city has synchronously implemented solutions to restore and develop advantageous service sectors, achieving positive results, especially trade and tourism services; mobilized all resources to take care of social security, well implemented labor and employment policies, policies for people with meritorious services; built a healthy living environment, improved the quality of people's lives according to the "happiness" criterion. The average income per capita of 9 new rural communes reached 74.8 million VND/year, 1.6 times higher than the period 2015-2020. The rate of trained workers reached 87.2%. Up to now, the city has no poor households according to the poverty standard for the period 2021-2025. In the period 2020-2023, the city attracted 3.962 million visitors. The agricultural sector has developed in the direction of improving quality and value, increasing products associated with the new rural construction program...

The city promotes comprehensive digital transformation by putting into operation the smart digital citizen application "Mong Cai Smart"; deploying and operating the electronic ISO platform to convert to a management environment, working on a digital technology platform. The city strengthens state management of planning, urban areas, land, resources, minerals, and environmental protection for sustainable development. The city is focusing on completing and implementing functional zoning plans under the Master Plan for the construction of Mong Cai Border Gate Economic Zone to 2040, which has been approved by the Prime Minister with a new vision - strategy, in which it opens up the direction for developing modern urban space, effectively exploiting comparative advantages in geo-economics and politics associated with many key and dynamic projects.
