Miwa recently celebrated his 110th birthday at Gardena Temple, California (USA), with his 3 sons, 10 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
He said: I am very lucky to have my sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and relatives always by my side.
According to the American Gerontology Research Group, Miwa is the oldest living Japanese-American. Her parents are Japanese immigrants. Miwa received a business degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
