Recently, the media reported that a 100-year-old woman still works and drives, Mrs. JoCleta Wilson, who is always looking for work because she does not want to retire.

At over 100 years old, JoCleta Wilson still drives herself to work. The former dancer is now the oldest Home Depot employee in the United States, working as a cashier at a store in Louisville, Kentucky.
A dancer in her youth, Wilson still dances and says she feels decades younger than her age. She is a breast cancer survivor, suffers from emphysema and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and has a pacemaker, “but everything else is working fine,” she says.
Her 5 simple tips for a long and healthy life:
1 Keep moving
Ms Wilson believes exercise is "so important" for longevity and is still able to dance at 100.
2 Maintain creativity
Ms. Wilson enjoys being creative. In addition to dancing, she enjoys singing and has performed on stage. In recent years, she has written a cookbook, painted, and has an Instagram page dedicated to her artwork.
3 Be willing to change your diet to stay healthy
When she was diagnosed with cancer, an oncology nurse advised her to avoid sugar. She cut out sweets. She stopped eating bacon and cheese years before she was diagnosed with very high cholesterol.
After working with a nutritionist, she focused on eating lean proteins like chicken, fish, and steak and avoiding white flour. "I eat well. I don't eat out much. I cook for myself and I love it."
4 There are joys to look forward to
Mrs Wilson doesn't completely avoid sweets. "I always have a chocolate cake in the freezer. I eat a slice, but maybe once a week." She also keeps ice cream in the freezer and occasionally has a spoonful.
When she receives a candy gift, she can eat it for months because she cuts the pieces in half and eats half a piece every week. The key, Ms. Wilson advises, is to indulge occasionally but not overindulge, which requires a lot of discipline.
5 Don't sweat the small stuff
She tries to release negative emotions and stay optimistic, a trait linked to longevity.
"I always say, don't sweat the small stuff. Don't sweat it. Don't let things make you angry. Anger takes a lot of energy and a lot of good things out of your life. It's a lot easier to think positive than negative. It takes less effort. And that's what I try to do," she said.
