'Golden' timeline for university and college admissions in 2025

Specifically, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the threshold for ensuring input quality for teacher training and health sectors on July 21. From August 13 to 5:00 p.m. on August 20 is the time to organize and process admission wishes.

From June 15 to August 22, training institutions must complete updating enrollment information into the system; Complete direct enrollment work and update it into the system; Upload data, enrollment information, and organize enrollment; Complete notification of first-round successful candidates. From September to December 2025, additional enrollment will be conducted.

Enrollment plan with Departments of Education and Training, April 21 - July 20, complete the review and update of priority database by region and subject; Confirm priority regions and priority subjects for candidates; Complete the entry and review of academic and high school scores on the database; Provide additional accounts for candidates (high school and college graduates) who do not have an account to register for admission.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26-27 . Candidates studying the current general education program (2018 program) must take 4 exams, including Math and Literature. In addition, students choose two subjects they have studied at school (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Languages).

The group following the old program (2006) will take the Literature, Math, Foreign Language exams, and one of two Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civic Education).

The 2025 high school graduation exam scores will be announced by the Ministry of Education and Training on July 16.

Circular No. 06/2025, Ministry of Education and Training stipulates a number of new points in the 2025 enrollment work: No more early enrollment; Must use the learning results of the entire 12th grade year for enrollment; Publicize the conversion rules equivalent to the admission score; No limit on the number of admission combinations; Use appropriate foreign language certificates to convert to foreign language subject scores in enrollment; Total points added must not exceed 10% of the maximum score of the enrollment scale; Candidates admitted directly must register their enrollment wishes on the system and confirm enrollment.

To make the 2025 enrollment process effective, the Ministry of Education and Training will strengthen communication; continue to apply information technology; soon complete the process and shorten the time for the first round of enrollment.
