VTC NewsVTC News01/02/2025

Mike Tyson has revealed to the media that he has not fully recovered from his loss to Jake Paul. Nearly two months ago, the 58-year-old boxing legend was defeated by YouTuber Jake Paul on points in a controversial match, with some even alleging that the fight was fixed.

Tyson struggled against Paul, who had only 11 professional fights under his belt but was nearly 30 years younger. The fight broke viewership records. However, Tyson recently revealed that the fight had taken a toll on his physical condition. “ I don’t know if I’m 100 percent, but I feel pretty good,” the boxing legend told the New York Post.

Tyson said he wanted to get back into training. “I might start training next month,” he said. However, “Iron Mike” also made it clear that this training is not aimed at returning to the ring. “I just want to stay in shape ,” Tyson explained.

Mike Tyson, the former boxer once dubbed "The Most Dangerous Man on the Planet", previously admitted that he had lost his memory of the fight with Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium, Texas. " I don't remember the fight very well, it's a little hazy," Tyson told Fox Sports Radio in December 2024.

"I just remember the first half and then Jake did something. I don't remember exactly what he did." (Tyson crouched down to imitate Paul's move.) That's the last thing I remember," Tyson continued.

The controversial fight with Jake Paul also marked Tyson's first professional return in 20 years. The fight had been postponed for months due to Tyson's health issues.
