Flight VN 1602 from Buon Ma Thuot to Hanoi by Airbus A321 landed at Da Nang airport at 11:19 on November 11 to provide emergency medical assistance to a passenger.
According to a representative of Vietnam Airlines, nearly an hour after takeoff, passenger TDH sitting in seat 17E (Vietnamese nationality) had health problems. On the flight, two passengers who were doctors came to examine him and concluded that his pulse was too fast and he needed to be taken to the hospital immediately.
Vietnam Airlines affirms that the safety and health of passengers is always the airline's top priority.
The captain of the flight immediately notified the Vietnam Airlines operations center and requested to land at Da Nang airport according to the wishes of passenger TDH to receive timely medical support.
Flight VN 1602 immediately took off to continue its journey to Hanoi at 12:08, 2 hours later than planned.
Vietnam Airlines said it has repeatedly delayed flights or made emergency landings in cases where passengers had serious health problems and needed timely assistance.
Although, navigating a flight for an emergency landing always consumes a lot of resources and costs for rescheduling flights, refueling, ground services, etc., the safety and health of passengers is always the top priority of the airline.
