'Bringing Tet to the mountains'
Eager eyes and overwhelming emotions when the young students in the highlands were able to see and touch the bustling, warm and colorful Tet atmosphere with their own eyes and hands.
Those were the days when students in the highlands and their teachers decorated the schoolyard with Tet flowers, wrapped Chung cakes and Tet cakes, and then sat at the year-end tray with all the Tet dishes, cakes, jams, etc.
Tet comes early to students of Lang Luong school
"The atmosphere in the past few days has been much more bustling. A lot of joy and emotions have come to the teachers and students of Lang Luong school (Tra Tap commune, Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam). I feel very grateful to the friends from the city who have supported the teachers and students in the highlands to welcome the Tet atmosphere early," said teacher Tra Thi Thu, Lang Luong school.
While worrying about the students' Tet holiday, teacher Duong Quynh Diem of Ca Dam school (Huong Tra primary boarding school, Tra Bong district, Quang Ngai) emotionally said: "Teachers and students are very excited. It's been a long time since students had such a happy and warm Tet holiday, full of spring atmosphere".
Not only students but also people around the school gathered to wrap the cakes. Everyone was happy and joyful when the banh chung and banh tet they wrapped were cooked, taken out and received to take home.
Teacher and students crowded together to wrap cakes.
The cakes were wrapped, cooked and distributed to each student.

All came from the program "Bringing Tet to the mountains" by young people in the Friends Club in Da Nang City. Young people joined hands and called on benefactors to bring Tet to students in the highlands.
Mr. Nguyen Binh Nam, Head of the Friends Club, shared that from the time of calling for help to the implementation of the program, it took only 2 weeks. "With the support of benefactors and the connection of teachers in the highlands, Tet has come to the students, full of emotions...", Mr. Nam happily said.
'The first time in my life I know about Tet lucky money'
Not only does the program help students celebrate a Tet filled with joy, it also helps them understand more about traditional Tet.
Along with the Tet activities, what makes the children most excited is receiving lucky money. Just a red and green lucky money envelope with 20,000 VND inside, but it brings great joy to the children in the highlands.
Get to celebrate Tet early and get lucky money early.
Ho Hoang Duong, class 2 at Lang Luong school, smiled happily when receiving lucky money envelopes.
Curious, eager...
Many children know about lucky money for the first time.
Many highland students participating in the program "Bringing Tet to the mountains" shyly shared when receiving lucky money envelopes: "This is the first time in my life I have known about Tet lucky money."
Ho Hoang Duong, class 2 at Lang Luong school, smiled happily when receiving the lucky money envelope. Last year, he also celebrated Tet early with his teachers from the program "Bringing Tet to the mountain". This year, he was able to participate again and receive lucky money. The student could not hide his happiness: "I will bring lucky money home for my parents!"
"The program of the Friends Club brings great joy to our students. I hope the program will continue with the students in the following years, because only then will the students have a truly happy and warm Tet holiday," said teacher Nguyen Thi Hien, Tak Po school (Tra Tap commune, Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam).
"The club has been doing this program for many years, but every year seeing the bright smiles of the children when participating, everyone is moved. Therefore, the club will try to maintain this program every Tet holiday and hopes that more and more students in remote and mountainous schools in Vietnam will have this Tet atmosphere!", Mr. Nguyen Binh Nam shared.
