This MOU opens a comprehensive cooperation framework between the two universities, focusing on training highly qualified railway experts, building advanced dual degree training programs between Vietnam and Korea. At the same time, the two sides will increase the exchange of students, lecturers, researchers and managers, creating conditions for access to international knowledge and experience.
In addition, the University of Transport Technology and the Korea National University of Communications also committed to closely coordinate in scientific research in the railway field, share data and professional documents, and jointly implement highly applicable cooperation projects, contributing to the mastery and application of advanced technologies in the Vietnamese railway industry.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Rector of the University of Transport Technology, said that the strategic cooperation with the Korea National University of Transport is a concrete step to realize the goal of training high-quality human resources capable of accessing and operating modern railway systems, including high-speed railways.
"We believe that this cooperation will bring invaluable international study and research opportunities to the school's students and faculty," Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long shared.

Prof. Dr. Yoon Seungjoe, President of Korea National University of Transportation, emphasized the great development potential of Vietnam's railway industry. At the same time, he expressed his commitment to accompany the University of Transport Technology in building a strong workforce with sufficient capacity to absorb and develop advanced railway technologies.
"This partnership not only promotes the sustainable development of the railway industry in Vietnam but also enhances understanding and cultural exchange between the two countries," the President of Korea National University of Transportation affirmed.

It is known that the Memorandum of Understanding between the two schools is effective for 5 years, starting from April 15, 2025. Specific cooperation activities will be agreed upon and implemented by the two schools through detailed agreements in the future.
Previously, the University of Transport Technology has shown its initiative in accessing international technology and experience through signing a cooperation agreement with the Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL).
The continued signing of the MOU with Korea National University of Transportation strongly affirms the university's extensive internationalization strategy in the field of railway transportation, especially in the context of Vietnam prioritizing the development of synchronous and modern transportation infrastructure.
On February 2, the Journal of Science and Transport Technology (JSTT) of the University of Transport Technology was officially accepted into the Scopus database - one of the world's leading prestigious scientific indexing systems.
This is a solid foundation for expanding global academic cooperation, attracting international experts, and enhancing the university's position in research areas such as transportation technology, smart infrastructure, and high-speed rail.
