In 2025, Hanoi University will use 9 admission combinations, including D01 (math, literature, English), D02 (math, literature, Russian), D03 (math, literature, French), D04 (math, literature, Chinese), D05 (math, literature, German), D06 (math, literature, Japanese), DD2 (math, literature, Korean), A01 (math, physics, English), TH01 (math, information technology, English).

Conversion formula for admission scores, priority given to foreign languages

This year, Hanoi University plans to enroll 3,305 students with three admission methods, including direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; combined admission according to regulations of Hanoi University (considering academic records); considering high school graduation exam scores in 2025.

According to the admission regulations, Hanoi University will convert admission scores between groups and admission methods with a unified admission score for each major/training program on a 40-point scale, with foreign language subjects multiplied by a coefficient of 2.

For the combined admission method according to the regulations of Hanoi University (considering academic records), the school determines the total admission score according to the following formula:

Admission score = Average score + priority points (if any) + incentive points

In which, the average score = average math score of 6 semesters + average literature score of 6 semesters + average foreign language score of 6 semesters x 2.

For the admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, the school determines the total admission score according to the following formula:

For all majors: Admission score = math score + literature score + foreign language score (coefficient 2) + priority score (if any) x 4/3.

For information technology: Admission score = math score + physics/literature/computer science score + English score (coefficient 2) + priority score (if any) x 4/3.

For financial technology: Admission score = math score + physics/literature score + English score (coefficient 2) + priority score (if any) x 4/3.

Hanoi University notes that in the event that many candidates at the end of the list have the same total admission score and the same wishes, the school will apply the secondary criteria in order of priority, with foreign language scores being the first, followed by literature/physics/computer science scores and math scores.

Hanoi University increases tuition fees

Regarding tuition fees, for standard programs, Hanoi University estimates tuition fees from 780,000 VND to 1.11 million VND/credit, depending on the subject and major group.

Of which, the group of majors teaching in foreign languages collects 780,000 VND/credit for subjects belonging to the general education knowledge block.

For subjects in the basic, specialized, supplementary knowledge block, graduation project, internship and graduation thesis: 890,000 VND/credit (for business communication major taught in French); 950,000 VND/credit (for majors taught in English, except for financial technology major taught in English); 1.11 million VND/credit (for financial technology major taught in English).

The school's language group expects tuition fees to be 780,000 VND/credit.

For advanced programs, the school expects tuition fees to range from VND 780,000 to VND 1.7 million/credit, depending on the subject and major.

Tuition fees are adjusted by the school each school year according to the Government's tuition adjustment roadmap and depending on the actual situation with an increase of no more than 15% per school year.

Last year, Hanoi University announced tuition fees ranging from VND720,000 to VND1.58 million per credit, depending on the major and subject group.
