Thai Nguyen completes the goal of eliminating 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses.

On April 16, the mountainous district of Vo Nhai officially completed a program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, providing safe and stable homes for hundreds of poor and near-poor households, marking an important step forward in the district's social security work.

According to the report, as of April 10, the district has repaired and built a total of 783 houses for beneficiaries. Specifically, 470 houses have been completely rebuilt and 313 houses have been repaired, reaching 100% of the plan. To date, 422 houses have been completed and handed over, while the remaining 361 houses are under construction and are expected to be completed in the near future.

The total budget mobilized to implement the program is over 25.8 billion VND, of which the State budget is over 12.2 billion VND (supporting 245 houses including: building 164 new houses, repairing 81 houses); socialized over 13.5 billion VND (supporting 367 houses including: building 200 new houses, repairing 167 houses). There are 156 houses that households are self-funded.

Vo Nhai is a mountainous district with many difficulties in Thai Nguyen province, with the number of temporary houses, dilapidated houses in need of repair and new construction accounting for more than half of the total number of houses in need of support in the whole province. This demonstrates the great efforts and determination of the local government and all levels of sectors in implementing and completing this humanitarian program.

Completing the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses not only helps poor and near-poor households in the district stabilize their lives but also makes an important contribution to the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and new rural construction in Thai Nguyen province.

With Vo Nhai district completing the program, up to now, 100% of localities in Thai Nguyen province have achieved the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, affirming the synchronization and effectiveness of social security work throughout the province. This is a proud achievement, demonstrating the deep concern of the Party and State for people's lives, especially those in difficult circumstances.
