Why will Toyota Raize increase its price to 510 million VND in Vietnam?

Not long ago, Toyota quietly adjusted the price of the large SUV Land Cruiser LC300. Not only the Land Cruiser, but the small SUV Toyota Raize also increased its listed price .

According to some sources, from April 2025, the price of Toyota Raize will increase by 12 million VND, from 498 million to 510 million. The pearl white version is still 8 million VND more expensive. Meanwhile, the two-tone version, combining pearl white and black roof, will be 12 million more expensive than the monochrome color.

Currently, the sales consultant at the dealership has informed buyers about the new price policy of Toyota Raize in Vietnam . The reason why Toyota adjusted the selling price of this A-class SUV has not been announced, but it is likely that this price increase comes from input cost factors.

With the new price, Toyota Raize is no longer the cheapest model in the A-class SUV segment in Vietnam as before. This position will belong to Hyundai Venue with a price ranging from 499 - 539 million VND. Meanwhile, compared to the two competitors VinFast VF 5 (529 million VND) and Kia Sonet (539 - 624 million VND), Toyota's car is still cheaper.

The increased selling price will cause Toyota Raize to lose its competitive advantage in the A-class SUV segment. This is currently the model with the fewest versions in this segment. Officially launched in the Vietnamese market in November 2021, Toyota Raize has quite stable sales in the segment.

In 2024, this model sold 4,984 units, ranking 3rd in the segment, after VinFast VF 5 and Kia Sonet. In the first two months of 2025, Toyota's car model continued to maintain this position with cumulative sales of 464 units. Compared to competitors in the same segment, Toyota Raize is not inferior in terms of design or equipment.

The car has LED lighting system, 17-inch alloy wheels, 7-inch digital dashboard, 9-inch central touch screen, push-button start, automatic air conditioning system, HAC hill-start assist, BSM blind spot warning, RCTA rear cross-traffic alert, 4 front/rear sensors and 6 airbags.

The "heart" of the Toyota Raize is a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine, producing a maximum capacity of 98 horsepower and a maximum torque of 140 Nm. The engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission (D-CVT).

Unlike its three competitors in the same segment, Toyota Raize is not assembled in Vietnam but imported completely from Indonesia.
