Ukrainian media (UNIAN/Pravda/kyivpost.com) reported on November 30 that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) blew up a freight train in a tunnel on the important railway line between Russia and China.
The operation was conducted on the night of November 29-30, targeting the Severomuysky tunnel on the Baikal - Amur main line deep inside Russian territory.

A source in the Ukrainian military leadership confirmed to the Kyiv Post that four explosions targeted the train as it passed through the tunnel. “The Russian side is currently using this route, including for the transportation of military equipment. After the explosion, the route was paralyzed,” he added.
There is no information yet on the extent of damage to the tunnel. Russian media also reported the incident. According to their information, at 22:18 on November 29 (local time), a freight train caught fire in the Severomuysky tunnel.
The East Siberian Transport Office reported that rescue and fire brigade vehicles were deployed to the scene and there were no casualties.
“The cause of the incident is still unknown. Police and security personnel are working at the scene,” Russia’s Telegram channel Baza reported.
