Long Nhat has been in the profession for 34 years. In the program Artist's Life , the male singer said he was passionate about art and dreamed of becoming a singer since he was a child, but his family did not support him.
Despite his father's objections, Long Nhat insisted on taking part in the audition and joining the Hai Dang music troupe (Nha Trang). This made his father extremely angry, and he published a newspaper article disowning his son.
"It was 1990, I promised my father that within 2 years I would have an award, otherwise I would return to study pedagogy according to my parents' arrangement," Long Nhat shared.

Long Nhat's efforts were also rewarded. In 1992, he had a number of successful songs such as May nhip cau tre, Nu hong, Lang tham, Ve que mao... and won the Gold Medal of the National Music and Dance Festival.
"My family was very happy, except for my father. He sighed and told me to be careful when singing. This profession looks glamorous and glamorous, but there are many pitfalls. I told my father to rest assured, I sing the right music, and after performing I come home and don't hang out anywhere," said the singer born in 1967.
During his early years in the arts, Long Nhat also encountered many hardships, many times falling into the situation of "not having a penny in his pocket".
"At that time, I was close to actress Y Phung, she loved me very much. Y Phung's parents, the cai luong artists Minh Phung and Kieu Tien, also loved me very much. Every time I ran out of money for food, I called Y Phung and she invited me over to her house for dinner," Long Nhat said.

The male singer said that when he came to art, he sang with intense and pure love. Once, accidentally hearing Y Phung's conversation with a famous singer at a teahouse about the person who was about to marry a rich man and planned to quit singing, Long Nhat was very confused.
"After listening, I told Y Phung that why would she have to give up her singing career after marrying a rich man? Singing is so much fun, getting to sing and meet the audience. If she marries a rich man and then sits at home, missing the stage, how can she bear it?
The story of being rich and having a lot of money so that I don't have to sing is something that never comes to my mind. Being poor is fine, being miserable is fine, as long as I can sing on stage," Long Nhat confided.
Participating in the program, Long Nhat also shared funny and unforgettable stories. When he first started his career and went to performances by bicycle, there was a time when the male singer had just arrived at the venue when the MC immediately introduced his name. In order to perform on time, Long Nhat quickly threw down his bicycle and ran onto the stage.
"While singing, I told my troupe to watch my bicycle. Even though I was so careful, my bicycle was still stolen by a thief after the performance," the singer said.
