Long An: Promoting the development of power grid and renewable energy

The power grid system in Long An province is continuously invested and upgraded, along with the strong development of renewable energy projects.

According to information from the People's Committee of Long An province, in recent times, the power grid system in the province has been continuously invested and developed, effectively serving the needs of socio-economic development.

Currently, the 22kV medium voltage grid has covered all communes, wards and towns in the province. The grid system basically ensures stable operation and well serves the production and daily needs of the people.

Specifically, the 500kV grid has a total length of 105.5km; the 220kV grid is 80.31km long; the 110kV grid is 433.16km long; the medium-voltage line is 3,430km long and the low-voltage line has a total length of 2,586km.

In addition, the renewable energy sector in the province continues to achieve many positive results. To date, 8 power plant projects have been completed and commercially generated, with a total capacity of 440.1 MWp. Currently, there is 1 project being invested in and constructed, the TTC Duc Hue 2 Power Plant, with a capacity of 49 MWp.

The rooftop solar power development program has also recorded outstanding results. To date, the Electricity sector has accepted the energization and signed power purchase and sale contracts with 2,582 customers, with a total capacity of 510.8 MWp.

In particular, the Long An I & II LNG Thermal Power Plant project in Can Giuoc district, with a total capacity of 3,000 MW, has been granted an investment registration certificate by the Provincial People's Committee. Currently, the project is in the implementation phase, promising to make an important contribution to ensuring energy security and promoting local industrial development in the coming time.

With the strong development of the power grid system and energy projects, the province continues to affirm its role as an attractive destination for investors; at the same time, contributing to the implementation of the goal of sustainable development, environmental protection and green energy conversion according to the Government's orientation./.
