That is the information given by the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (VRG) at the conference to review Party work, production and business activities, trade union and youth union work in 2024; deploy directions and tasks for 2025 taking place on December 19 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Le Thanh Hung, General Director of VRG said: “In 2024, despite many difficulties, with the determination of the entire political system, the joint efforts and consensus of all employees, along with flexible and synchronous response solutions, VRG will continue to develop stably and sustainably, preserving and developing State capital. VRG has achieved quite comprehensive results in Party building work and exceeded production and business targets compared to the assigned plan, maintaining jobs and stable income for over 81,000 employees, with an average income of over 11 million VND/person/month”.

The Group's report shows that in 2024, Party committees from the Group's Party Committee to affiliated Party organizations regularly grasp the ideological situation of cadres, party members, and employees to promptly mobilize, propagate, and orient public opinion, creating consensus in participating in Party building and rectification, implementing resolutions, guidelines, and policies of the Party, the State, and the Group. At the same time, strengthen the direction of affiliated Party organizations to make reports according to regulations, promptly grasp the situation of the organization's activities in Party building and production and business activities to have appropriate directions and directions, creating conditions for Party organizations to operate effectively and in accordance with regulations.
During the past year, the Group Party Committee issued a Decision to admit 59 Party members, reaching 118% of the 2024 plan target of the Group Party Committee, 173.5% of the target assigned by the Bloc Party Committee; recognized 60 official Party members; received 32 Party members; and carried out procedures to transfer 79 Party members.
With the motto of economic development associated with national defense and security, social responsibility and environmental protection, the Group has performed well in social security and environmental protection, contributing to strengthening national defense and security, maintaining security and order where member companies are located.
Specifically, in social security work, VRG has actively participated in contributing, supporting, and sponsoring social security activities across the country with an amount of nearly 3.4 billion VND, of which 1.5 billion VND supported the provinces of Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Lai Chau, Son La, Dien Bien, Yen Bai, Ha Giang, and Lao Cai to overcome the effects and damage caused by storm Yagi, No. 4.
Regarding production and business activities (consolidated financial indicators of the whole Group), total revenue in 2024 is estimated at VND 26,307 billion, equal to 105.2% of the annual plan, up 6.5% compared to 2023.

Total pre-tax profit in 2024 is estimated at VND 4,450 billion, equal to 108.4% of the annual plan, up 8.2% compared to 2023. Total budget payment in 2024 is estimated at VND 6,100 billion, equal to 154.0% of the plan, up 50.5% compared to 2023.
According to the Group's report, effective overseas investment projects have contributed to strengthening the friendly cooperative relationship between our country and the two neighboring countries of Laos and Cambodia.
Over the past year, VRG has been a pioneer and exemplary in green growth and sustainable development activities in the rubber industry. The Group is promoting an inclusive and circular green transformation process, ensuring sustainability throughout the entire supply chain, joining hands for the environment, being friendly and actively contributing to society and the community.
VRG has 34 member companies developing sustainable forest management plans for a total area of 286,901 hectares; of which, 18 companies have been granted Sustainable Forest Management Certificates according to VFCS/PEFC with an area of 215,624 hectares. Of which, 17 companies have been granted Sustainable Forest Management Certificates according to VFCS/PEFC-FM standards for a total area of approximately 120,610 hectares of rubber. 38 natural rubber processing factories, wood processing factories and rubber industrial products have achieved PEFC-CoC on the product chain of custody.
In 2024, VRG has 14 member companies honored in the Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam. Of which, Chu Pah Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. is in the Top 10.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Do Huu Huy - Member of the Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises highly appreciated VRG's efforts in implementing and organizing stable production and business, ensuring efficiency, maintaining stable life, jobs and income for employees.

In the coming time, it is forecasted that there will still be difficulties and challenges from the domestic and international situation, but Mr. Do Huu Huy expressed his confidence that the collective of employees of the Group will promote the heroic tradition of the Vietnam Rubber Industry to join hands and unite to build the unit to develop more and more, have many marks in the domestic and foreign markets, contributing to the development of the country.
The Group plans to achieve revenue and other income of VND 27,494 billion in 2025 (an increase of more than 4.5% compared to 2024); pre-tax profit of VND 4,658 billion (an increase of more than 4.7%); after-tax profit of VND 3,929 billion (an increase of more than 4.9%). For the parent company - the Group, revenue is VND 4,484 billion (an increase of more than 4.6% compared to 2024).
Deploying the directions and tasks for 2025, Mr. Tran Cong Kha, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of VRG, emphasized a number of key issues to be implemented in 2025, which are to focus on drastically implementing effective and appropriate solutions to quickly and thoroughly resolve existing problems in production and business activities, ensuring that all members of the group fulfill the highest production and business plan for 2025 in a situation that is forecasted to continue to have many difficulties and challenges.
The Group continues to develop sustainably on the basis of 3 pillars: Economic development - Environmental protection - Social responsibility. Continue to implement the Group's Green Growth and Sustainable Development Strategy for 2023-2030, with a vision to 2050.
“At the same time, the Group closely coordinates with the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union and the Group's Youth Union to carry out social security and environmental protection work, contributing to strengthening and protecting national defense and security, maintaining security and order where member companies are located,” Mr. Tran Cong Kha affirmed.

At the conference, VRG commended and rewarded many groups and individuals. Among them, Mr. Ngo Quyen - Director of Vietnam - Laos Rubber Joint Stock Company received the First Class Labor Medal. The Government's emulation flag was awarded to two units: Geruco Song Con Hydropower Joint Stock Company and Ba Ria Kampong Thom Rubber Joint Stock Company.
In addition, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises also awarded 17 excellent emulation flags to 17 units; the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded 4 emulation flags to 4 companies that had excellently completed their tasks in 2024. Along with that, the leaders of VRG and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also commended many collectives and individuals of affiliated companies for their outstanding achievements in labor production.
In particular, at this Conference, VRG also selected 12 outstanding workers who achieved the best results at the 2024 Golden Hands Rubber Harvesting Competition, who are skilled workers from ethnic minorities, Laos and Cambodia, to commend and reward./.
