Reiterating the target set by Ho Chi Minh City to strive for a growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in 2024 of 7.5 - 8%, Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Nguyen Thi Le requested the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to analyze, comprehensively evaluate, and forecast socio-economic situations to proactively respond; focus on investment and support for industries and sectors that are and may face difficulties in the coming time.
In addition, it is necessary to focus on finding solutions to implement the 2024 theme, promote digital transformation, and effectively implement specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City.
State management agencies must improve public ethics, strengthen discipline, administrative discipline and uphold the sense of responsibility. The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee needs to effectively implement solutions on policies to encourage and protect dynamic and creative cadres for the common good so that the city can transform itself to "overcome the headwind" as the Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary said.
