Vice Chairman of Dakrong District People's Committee Le Dai Loi said that the project "Building a model for collecting and treating domestic solid waste in the communes of Ta Rut, Huc Nghi, A Ngo, A Vao, Dakrong District" is invested by the Provincial Department of Environmental Protection with a total investment of more than 6.8 billion VND.

On March 6, 2022, the Provincial Department of Environmental Protection completed the construction and handed over the project to the People's Committee of Ta Rut commune for management and operation.

On May 10, 2022, the People's Committee of Ta Rut commune handed over the management and operation of the project to the District Environment and Urban Center (now the Dakrong District Market, Environment and Urban Management Center). During the time of receiving and putting into use, the incinerator system of the project has developed some damage and degradation.

Specifically, on August 18, 2022, the conveyor system transporting garbage to the incinerator was broken and not working. In response to this situation, the District Environment and Urban Center sent Report No. 19/BC-TT dated August 19, 2022 to the Provincial Department of Environmental Protection. By September 2023, the automatic garbage loading system and the general exhaust fan motor were not working, and the furnace structure had many cracks and could not operate.

The Dakrong District Center for Market, Environment and Urban Management continues to issue Official Dispatch No. 08/CV-TT dated November 2, 2023 to the Provincial Department of Environmental Protection. To deal with the amount of waste after collection, from September 2023 to now, the Dakrong District Center for Market, Environment and Urban Management has temporarily treated waste by manual burning.

The project “Building a model for collecting and treating domestic solid waste in the Ta Rut, Huc Nghi, A Ngo, A Vao communes, Dakrong district” has been effective in treating waste after collection since its operation. However, since the project’s incinerator system was damaged and no longer works, it has caused many difficulties in treating waste after collection.

Therefore, Dakrong District People's Committee has reported and recommended to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Provincial Department of Environmental Protection to support funding and technology to survey, evaluate, fix and repair the incinerator system of the project for continued use to minimize environmental pollution.
