Industrial production index in the first quarter grew strongly

In the first months of the year, many businesses have recruited more workers, increased shifts, expanded production lines, and accelerated the completion of orders for partners. Therefore, the province's industrial production index in the first quarter recorded high growth.

According to the report of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Statistics Office, in March 2025, industrial production activities maintained a fairly high growth rate compared to the same period. The index of industrial production (IIP) of the whole industry is estimated to increase by over 13% compared to the previous month and increase by nearly 15% compared to the same period. The estimated industrial production index in the first quarter reached a growth rate of nearly 13%, the second highest growth rate in the period 2021-2025. The estimated growth rate of key industries in the first quarter is as follows: Automobile manufacturing increased by over 22%, motorbike manufacturing increased by about 7%.

Although the industrial production index in the first quarter had a high growth compared to the same period in recent years, according to the province's double-digit growth scenario, the growth rate of the industry and construction sector in the first quarter has not reached expectations.

Therefore, in the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee will continue to direct departments, branches and localities to synchronously and effectively implement key tasks and solutions to improve the investment and business environment. At the same time, proactively grasp and implement appropriate and flexible solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses and investors; support businesses in recruiting workers.

In addition, speed up the progress of investment in building infrastructure for industrial parks, clearing land for industrial parks to create clean land ready to attract investment to promote industrial development, contributing to boosting economic growth.
