Announcing the Decision to establish the Market Management Department of Bac Lieu province

On the afternoon of April 1, 2025, at the headquarters of the Market Management Department (MMD), the Department of Industry and Trade held a ceremony to announce the Decision to establish the Provincial MMT Department on the basis of receiving the status quo of the Provincial MMT Department from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. At the same time, the Decision to appoint the leader of the Provincial MMT Department was announced.

Accordingly, comrade Nguyen Minh Trung - former Director of the Provincial Market Management Department holds the position of Director of the Market Management Department, from the date of appointment until retirement; comrades Nguyen Chi Vung and Le Van Sieng - former Deputy Directors of the Market Management Department hold the position of Deputy Directors of the Provincial Market Management Department, the appointment term is 5 years from the date of signing.

Comrade Tran Thanh Men - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade presented the Decision and flowers to congratulate the leaders of the Market Management Department.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Men - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade congratulated the Market Management Department on returning to local management after 6 years of changing the model. At the same time, he emphasized that the current market management work is very complicated. In the coming time, the collective leadership, civil servants and employees of the Market Management Department need to quickly stabilize the organization; continue to promote the spirit of solidarity; focus on performing well the assigned tasks, ensuring smooth, effective and efficient work after the arrangement... On the side of the leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, they will continue to accompany and be responsible for the Department to complete its tasks.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Minh Trung - Head of the Provincial Market Management Department promised to lead the collective unit to unite, be unanimous, promote the sense of responsibility, be proactive in market inspection and control, promptly detect and handle violations of the law, contributing to creating a healthy, transparent and sustainable business environment for the province.

The Provincial Market Management Department is an administrative organization under the Department of Industry and Trade, with the function of assisting the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade in state management and law enforcement in preventing and handling acts of smuggling; production and trade of counterfeit goods, prohibited goods, goods of unknown origin; acts of violating the law on consumer rights protection, e-commerce, trade promotion and acts of trade fraud according to the provisions of law in the province. The Department has legal status, its own seal, account and is a budget estimate unit according to the provisions of law.
