The program opened with the group singing performance "Vietnam's Pride" performed by the members of the 7th Company Youth Union, 3rd Battalion Youth Union. The heroic music was played, the officers and soldiers in the auditorium sang together. The confidence and pride were evident on each CSM's face when participating in the collective activity. Next was the flute solo performed by CSM Trieu Ngoc Cao, a member of the 7th Company Youth Union. The melodious, deep flute sound received enthusiastic cheers from the officers and soldiers of the unit. With his confident demeanor, Trieu Ngoc Cao made the management staff very happy and confident.

"Comradely Love" bonding night at Battalion 3, Brigade 297, Military Region 2.

Senior Lieutenant Nghiem Van Dien, Secretary of the Youth Union, Deputy Political Commissar of Battalion 3, shared: “CSM Trieu Ngoc Cao is a Co Lao ethnic, from Luc Yen district, Yen Bai province; he is an ethnic minority with very unique customs and practices. In the first days of joining the unit, Cao was still confused with the regime and regulations of the unit. However, with the constant care, encouragement and support from cadres at all levels, he quickly integrated into the military environment, confidently participated in collective activities, and was very active and proactive in the activities of the Youth Union.”

More touchingly, in the program to make friends, the 3rd Battalion Union organized video calls to some CSM families in difficult circumstances so that the families could participate in activities with the unit's officers and soldiers. CSM Lo Quoc Huy, Company 7 Union, 3rd Battalion Union was excited to meet his mother and younger brother again over the phone. Ms. Hoang Thi Chi, Huy's mother, was moved: “His father passed away in 2024. He is determined to join the army to train and mature. I support him very much, but I am still quite worried because this is the first time he has lived away from home. However, since he joined the army, the unit commander has regularly informed and discussed with me about his training results. Today, I was able to participate and witness the cultural and spiritual activities of the unit's officers and soldiers in a joyful, united, and cozy atmosphere; seeing the team of officers at all levels caring for and taking care of the soldiers, I am very excited and reassured. The family hopes that he will actively train to become more and more mature and steady."

During the camaraderie night, in addition to the exciting performances and meaningful, emotional exchanges, the unit also took time for cadres at all levels to share more clearly about the traditions, characteristics, situation and tasks of the unit; valuable experiences in managing, educating and training soldiers. Along with that, second-year soldiers, squad leaders and battery leaders shared their experiences in complying with the unit's regulations, sticking to, grasping and helping CSMs when they first joined the unit... thereby helping CSMs confidently share their thoughts, feelings, difficulties and confusion. Thereby, helping Party committees and commanders at all levels grasp and propose appropriate measures to manage the ideological situation, especially for comrades who have just joined the army.

Talking with Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dac Quyen, Deputy Political Commissar of Brigade 297, I learned that in addition to the above program, the Brigade also regularly pays attention to and directs the innovation of the content and form of activities of the Youth Union organizations. In activities such as: Comrades' birthdays, cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities... the Youth Union branches and inter-branch Youth Unions always proactively invite relatives of soldiers and members of the Youth Union and youth of the twinned units in the stationed area to participate to create a joyful and warm atmosphere, helping the CSM to better understand and unite with the unit. Be flexible in the form and method of organizing and implementing the programs; increase the integration of exchange activities, collective games and reserve a separate "stage" for officers and soldiers to demonstrate their "talents". The unit also creates favorable conditions for CSMs to promote their strengths and advantages to proactively participate in the preparation and organization of programs, thereby helping CSMs feel more connected and responsible for common activities.

New soldiers of Battalion 3, Brigade 297, Military Region 2 join in singing.
Many thoughts and feelings were shared by the new soldier.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dac Quyen revealed: To improve the quality of grasping, managing and resolving the thoughts of CSM, in addition to promoting the role of the youth organizations, the Party Committee and the command of Brigade 297 regularly direct units to properly implement the motto "The unit is home, cadres and soldiers are all brothers". Require the cadre team to firmly grasp the soldiers' information files, regularly stay in touch with the troops, and implement "4 together" (eating together, living together, working together and sharing together) with CSM. In all activities and daily life, the cadre team must be truly close like an older brother or friend so that CSM can trust and confide in and share with them whenever they encounter difficulties, thereby promptly and satisfactorily resolving the thoughts and aspirations of the soldiers in accordance with regulations.
