Provincial Federation of Labor improves the effectiveness of the program of coordinating activities

Leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation and the Provincial Military Command presented gifts to new recruits who are union members leaving for military service in 2025.

Every year, implementing the coordination program, the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Provincial Military Command have developed a plan to implement each specific content such as: organizing conferences to propagate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws directly related to union members and employees. In 2024, over 80% of union members and employees participated in propaganda conferences on "Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation", "Strategy for protecting the national border"; propaganda on the implementation of socio-economic development programs and projects of the province; Seminars and training courses on propaganda of legal contents on military service, labor, trade unions, social insurance, health insurance, propaganda activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam Trade Union, International Women's Day (March 8), Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20)... Trade unions organize thousands of thematic propaganda sessions or integrate propaganda for specific subjects, such as organizing specialized conferences on propaganda of performing military and local defense tasks, the Law on Military Service; mobilizing union members and employees of military service age to register for military service; mobilizing families of employees with children of military service age to join the military.

Comrade Hoang Dinh Trung, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, said: The coordination program between the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Provincial Military Command has contributed to strengthening the solidarity and close relationship between military units and trade union organizations at all levels, actively and effectively participating in the tasks of economic, cultural and social development, consolidating national defense and security, increasing income, improving the material and spiritual life of cadres, soldiers, union members, and employees; building a strong grassroots political system and military units, strong trade union organizations at all levels in all aspects; implementing well social policies and military rear policies. With the responsibility as a member of the Provincial Military Service Council, the Provincial Federation of Labor advises the Provincial People's Committee to direct, inspect, and urge agencies and organizations to carry out military service registration and manage citizens of military service age; doing a good job of educating the traditions of the homeland, the country, and the People's Army; fostering political theory, national defense and security knowledge, raising the sense of responsibility of employees in carrying out the task of building and protecting the Fatherland. Many military units and trade union organizations such as those in Hai Hau, Xuan Truong, Giao Thuy, and Nam Truc districts have effectively implemented the program of coordinating the call for citizens to join the army. In the 2025 military recruitment, trade unions at all levels in the province had a total of more than 530 union members and children of union members joining the army and were assigned to military units across the country.

In addition, the two sectors have coordinated well in implementing the military rear policy, doing well the work of national defense, security and social order and safety in agencies and enterprises; Strengthening policies to care for the contingent of demobilized soldiers working in agencies, units and enterprises. At the same time, the Trade Unions at all levels actively coordinate with military units to improve the quality of political and ideological education, grasp public opinion and promptly reflect the recommendations and proposals of union members and employees to all levels and sectors, especially the contingent of demobilized soldiers working, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.

Coordinating well the implementation of the military rear policy, the Trade Unions at all levels and military units in the province actively organized practical activities to care for the material and spiritual life of families of war invalids and martyrs, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; regularly promoting the movements of "Repaying gratitude", "When drinking water, remember its source", "Love others as you love yourself"... In 2024, the Trade Unions at all levels organized visits to inquire about the lives of union members and workers who suffered serious damage due to super typhoon Yagi with more than 99 million VND. The Provincial Federation of Labor also received more than 30 tons of necessities worth billions of VND, supporting union members and workers affected by the storm in Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, and Lao Cai provinces.
Responding to Workers' Month - Month of action on occupational safety and hygiene (OSH) in 2024, the two sectors coordinated to organize a conference on the topic of propaganda on drug prevention and control, social evils, not to produce, trade, transport, store, and illegally use firecrackers, weapons, explosives, support tools, etc.; propaganda on the loudspeaker systems of agencies, units, and enterprises and distributed thousands of leaflets, brochures, legal documents on labor, social insurance, health insurance, prevention of harmful effects of tobacco, etc. among workers. In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized a meeting and presented gifts to 30 workers in difficult circumstances, worth 30 million VND, awarded 76 certificates of merit to workers with achievements in labor production, and 18 certificates of exemplary enterprises for workers. There are 5 Trade Union organizations at the grassroots level directly organizing the launching of Workers' Month - Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health, giving more than 500 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, demobilized workers, and typical enterprises for workers with a total value of more than 327 million VND.

With practical and effective activities from the coordination program between the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Provincial Military Command, it not only builds solidarity and close military-civilian ties, but also raises awareness and responsibility of union members and employees in participating in building local political bases. Thereby promoting the role of the Trade Union in continuing to innovate the organization, improving the quality and effectiveness of coordinated activities, diversifying types of activities in accordance with reality; building effective and practical Trade Union models, oriented towards the grassroots, contributing to building a national defense industry to meet the requirements of firmly protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
