Summer vacation schedule for students in 63 provinces and cities

(Dan Tri) - According to the school year schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training, educational institutions must complete their programs and end the school year before May 31.

Consider recognition of completion of primary school program and consider recognition of graduation from secondary school before June 30. Complete enrollment of first grade classes before July 31.

The 2025 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 26-27.

Other national exams are organized according to regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Regarding the principles of building local school year schedules, the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates: Local school year schedules must ensure 35 weeks of actual study (18 weeks for semester I and 17 weeks for semester II). School year schedules must be consistent with the characteristics and practical conditions of the locality.

Holidays and Tet holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidelines. Teachers' annual leave is implemented during the summer vacation or can be arranged alternately at other times of the year to suit the specific characteristics and school year schedule of the locality.

The school year schedule needs to ensure consistency for all levels of education in a residential area, especially in general schools with many levels of education.
