On July 1, the Government issued a decree increasing pensions and social insurance benefits by 15%. This is the highest increase ever.
To ensure the new salary reaches beneficiaries as soon as possible, the postal service said it has arranged maximum staff for payment, and added payment points and payment desks.
Payment time is also 3 - 5 days earlier than the old schedule.
"With proactively developing specific plans and many years of payment experience, Vietnam Post commits to paying the new benefit level to each beneficiary promptly, accurately and safely," said a representative of Vietnam Post.
Vietnam Post also extended the payment time.
Specifically, from July 1 to July 10, payments will take place at locations in communes, wards and towns.
From July 11 to July 25, Vietnam Post will continue to pay late salary and allowance recipients at post office transaction points.
Payment schedule varies by locality, agreed upon by social insurance agency and post office and notified to beneficiaries.
Vietnam Post continues to pay at home for beneficiaries who are elderly, infirm, unable to travel, or have no one to receive on their behalf.
In July 2024, Vietnam Post will pay pensions and new social insurance benefits to nearly 3 million beneficiaries with a total amount of nearly 19,000 billion VND.
