(CLO) On December 3, at the Academy of Journalism and Communication (Hanoi), the closing ceremony of the communication program and award ceremony of the writing contest "Silent contributions" in 2024 was held, organized by Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper in collaboration with ActionAid International in Vietnam (ActionAid Vietnam), and the Vietnam Social Security Program and Project Support Fund (AFV).
Speaking at the program, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi, Editor-in-Chief of Economic and Urban Newspaper, Head of the Program Organizing Committee, said: In addition to publishing printed newspapers, electronic newspapers, and specialized pages, Economic and Urban Newspaper has actively organized many communication activities in recent times. On average, Economic and Urban Newspaper organizes more than 10 programs each year, including the program "Silent contributions".

“ Through 4 seasons of organization, from the contest to the Media Program, “Silent Contributions” has affirmed its own brand, and considered this a specialty of the Economic and Urban Newspaper, not only attracting professional and non-professional journalists” – Mr. Nguyen Thanh Loi emphasized.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen and Ms. Hoang Phuong Thao, Director of ActionAid International in Vietnam, presented the First Prize to author Le Thi Lan Huong of Dai Doan Ket newspaper.
The group of authors Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung and Pham Khanh Huy of Kinh te va Do thi newspaper won the second prize for professional authors.

In 2024, the Newspaper organized nearly 10 media programs that attracted students to participate, such as: training and fostering the production of journalistic works, specifically podcast works.
With the new way of communication, students have made efforts to research the topic themselves, produce it themselves and then broadcast it themselves, attracting many people to participate in posting it on social media platforms. Many articles and press works have touched people's hearts and spread widely in life.
After more than 8 months of launching the Silent Contributions 2024 communication program, the Organizing Committee received 651 entries from professional and non-professional authors (including 514 professional works and 137 non-professional works).
After 2 final and preliminary rounds, for the professional competition, the Jury of the "Silent Contributions" contest in 2024 selected 22 quality works that met the requirements of the contest to enter the final round to award prizes to 12 authors/groups of authors (1 First prize, 1 Second prize, 3 Third prizes, 10 Encouragement prizes).
For the competition for non-professional authors, the jury also selected 12 works for the final round to award prizes to 7 authors/groups of authors (1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 3 Third Prizes, 5 Encouragement Prizes). The total prize value of the "Silent Contributions" competition in 2024 is up to 225 million VND, an increase of 6 prizes and 30 million VND in prize money compared to 2023.
