“Vietnam Cultural Festival 2025” is organized by the Vietnam-Japan Economic Cooperation Promotion Association, under the auspices of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka.
At the event, there will be many meaningful activities such as reenacting the Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony, forming a map of Vietnam with an expected 5,000 participants to be considered for a Guinness Record, performing Ao Dai and Vietnamese costumes using Southern scarves, and performing arts programs with the participation of famous domestic artists.
Ms. Le Thuong, President of the General Association of Vietnamese in the Kansai region, said: "The 2025 Vietnamese Cultural Festival" will include a series of diverse events, from folk games, food stalls to film screenings, music performances..., and especially the reenactment of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony.
Each event in the Festival is directed towards the origin, arousing pride in the descendants of Lac Hong, encouraging people living far away from home to unite, work hard, and study to contribute to building an increasingly prosperous homeland.
Sharing about the significance of this Vietnam Cultural Festival, Vietnamese Consul General in Osaka Ngo Trinh Ha said: “This is the 8th year the Hung Kings Commemoration Festival has been held in Osaka. The event is an opportunity for Vietnamese people in the Kansai-Osaka region in particular and in Japan in general to meet, visit each other, and remind each other of their roots.
This year is a special year with many important anniversaries of the country, so the Festival has many more activities. Inviting artists from the program "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai" to perform is also a special gift that the Organizing Committee wants to give to the people. We hope that in the next two days, people will have many interesting experiences when coming to the festival".
Mr. Vu Hoang Duc, Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Economic Cooperation Promotion Association, the organizer of this event, said: “The program is expected to attract about 20,000 participants. The organizers will try their best to promote the image and people of Vietnam not only to the Japanese people but also to international friends.”
The “Vietnam Cultural Festival 2025” is organized to promote patriotism, national pride, preserve cultural traditions and look back to the roots, promote and spread Vietnamese culture and history to international friends. Notably, the Festival takes place right before the World Expo (EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai), opening up opportunities to promote trade, tourism, investment and exchange between the people of Vietnam and Japan.
