Traditional festival of Nua Temple

On February 29 (January 20, Giap Thin year), Trieu Son District People's Committee organized the traditional festival of Nua Temple - Am Tien, Spring Giap Thin 2024.

The traditional festival of Nua Temple - Am Tien begins with the following rituals: Carrying water from Tien Well, Am Tien acupuncture point to Nua Temple, Nghe Giap Temple, Nua Town Stadium; carrying palanquin from Nua Temple, Nghe Giap Temple to Nua Town Stadium, the center of the altar area. Leading the procession is the lion dance team, the gong team accompanying the procession. Following are the festival drum team, flag teams, the mountain house offering tray team, the eight-sound troupe team, the palanquin team, boats, hammocks and eight-treasure spear-holding team; the ceremonial team, the female soldier team, the militia accompanying the mascot, the farmer team and the officials, the elders following the procession.

Next was the drum performance and flag dance, gong performance, recalling the beginning of the land and people of Tan Ninh - Co Dinh. After the drum beat to open the festival, there was the announcement ceremony. Immediately after the opening ceremonies, the delegates and a large number of people and tourists from all over performed the incense offering ceremony at the altar and asked for blessings, remembering the merits of ancestors, national heroes and praying for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, good crops, peace and happiness for every family.

Nua - Am Tien Temple is a famous historical, cultural and scenic relic, with important historical and cultural significance, which has been ranked at the national level. In 248, at Ngan Nua, female general Trieu Thi Trinh recruited soldiers, raised the flag of uprising, drove out the Ngo invaders, achieved glorious feats in the struggle against the feudal domination of the North, and wrote heroic pages in the history of our nation's struggle against foreign invaders. With the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", after female general Trieu Thi Trinh passed away, the people in the area built a temple and annually held a traditional festival to commemorate and show gratitude for the merits of Ba Trieu.

The traditional festival of Nua Temple - Am Tien, Spring of Giap Thin 2024 is an opportunity for future generations to review the glorious history, the heroic, resilient and indomitable tradition of our nation; to pay tribute and record the contributions of the national heroine Trieu Thi Trinh, our predecessors and heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation. This is also an important premise to promote tourism development, promote the beauty of Trieu Son land and people to the people of the whole country.
