28 clubs with over 400 athletes compete in the Group Stage of the 2025 National Volleyball A Tournament.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Kon Tum province Nguyen Xuan Truyen said that the group stage of the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Tournament is a healthy and attractive playground for athletes and coaches to learn professional experience and improve their volleyball performance. This is also an opportunity for Kon Tum province to promote local sports activities; promote the cultural identity, people and tourist attractions in the province to domestic and international friends.
The tournament gathered 28 clubs with more than 400 athletes competing. Of which, the men's volleyball event had 15 participating teams including: Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Tinh, Tra Vinh, Binh Duong, Quang Nam, Dong Anh Ha Noi, Vinh Long, Ben Tre, Kon Tum, Phu Tho Police, Skpearlnest Khanh Hoa, Military Region 3, Military Sports Center, Mobile Police Command and Ninh Binh Youth. The teams were divided into 03 groups, competing in a round-robin to select 02 First and Second teams of each group to enter the Final round; 03 Third-place teams of each group will compete in a round-robin to select 02 more teams to enter the Final round.
The opening match between the two women's teams Thai Nguyen and Dak Lak.
The women's volleyball content has 13 participating teams including: Young Soldiers of Information Corps - Dong Bac Corporation, Young People of Ho Chi Minh City, Young People of VTV Binh Dien Long An, Young People of Ninh Binh, Hung Yen, Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Long Television, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Dak Lak and Hai Duong. The teams are divided into 02 groups to compete in a round robin to calculate points, selecting the 4 best teams from each group to enter the Final round.
The Final Round will take place in October 2025 in Ha Tinh province. The teams with excellent results will be promoted to compete in the National Volleyball Championship.
