On the morning of February 25, Thai Binh city held a military enlistment ceremony for 2024 at the provincial youth cultural and sports activity center. Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council; Hoang Van Thanh, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council; leaders of the Naval Region 1 Command; representatives of military enlistment units, leaders of departments, branches, and organizations of the province and Thai Binh city.

In 2024, Thai Binh city was assigned the target of recruiting 211 citizens to join the army, including 185 young people joining units under the Ministry of National Defense, and 26 young people participating in the People's Public Security service.

To successfully complete the target of selecting and calling young people to join the army, the City Military Command closely coordinated with departments, branches, and organizations to advise the City Military Service Council to do well in all stages and steps, in accordance with the process, ensuring democracy, objectivity, fairness, and compliance with the law. Wards and communes strictly managed the number of citizens eligible for military service; did a good job of fostering awareness of the Party, exchanging, giving gifts, and encouraging young people joining the army with difficult circumstances; propagating and implementing well the policy work for the army's rear. Notably, this is the first year that Thai Binh city allocated funds to support the treatment of myopia for young people who passed the recruitment before leaving for military service. This year, the proportion of young people with college and university degrees in the city accounted for nearly 26%; at the same time, the number of young people who wrote volunteer applications accounted for a high proportion.

Comrade Hoang Van Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council affirmed: The youth of Thai Binh city today are continuing the glorious history of the nation, following in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers to join the army, dedicating their youth to protect the Fatherland. He congratulated, encouraged, praised and expressed his confidence that the new recruits will uphold the tradition of their revolutionary homeland, strive to train, strive to complete all assigned tasks, worthy of the tradition of their heroic homeland.
