Boat capsized on the river, 1 person died

(NLDO) - When reaching the middle of the river, the boat suddenly capsized, causing all 3 people to fall into the water.

On February 28, Hai Phong City Police said that Le Loi Ward Police, An Duong District, are urgently investigating and clarifying the case of a boat capsize on the Re River, causing 1 death.

Officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team on the river dive to search for the victim's body.

According to initial information, at 3:00 p.m. on February 27, 3 people moved by boat from the aquaculture area to the shore of Road 17B, Le Loi Ward, An Duong District.

When reaching the middle of the river, the boat suddenly capsized, causing all 3 people to fall into the water. Immediately afterwards, people nearby promptly rescued 2 people, but the victim VVG (born in 1982, residing in Le Chan district, Hai Phong city) unfortunately died.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Fighting - Rescue Police Team on the river under the Fire Prevention and Fighting - Rescue Police Department, Hai Phong City Police mobilized 1 specialized vehicle and 6 officers and soldiers of the elite Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Team on land and underwater to search.

At 5:35 p.m. the same day, authorities found the victim's body.
