Car carrying teachers and elementary school students overturned on the highway

Initial information, at 8:00 a.m. on March 29, a 16-seat car carrying 10 5th grade students and teachers from Tay Hieu Primary School (Thai Hoa town) went to Vinh City (Nghe An province) to cheer on a student in the school participating in an English playground in the afternoon of the same day.

The car was traveling on the Dien Chau - Bai Vot highway, near the Dien Chau rest stop, Dien Chau district (Nghe An province), when it was suddenly hit from behind by a tractor-trailer. The impact caused the 16-seat car to flip over on the highway, causing severe damage.

Students were taken to emergency medical facilities after the accident.

Highway users rescued and took injured people in the accident to emergency medical facilities.

Preliminary results show that the accident left two female teachers with bone and joint injuries, one male teacher with minor injuries, and students with abrasions, soft tissue injuries, and mental panic.

The accident caused traffic congestion on the Dien Chau - Bai Vot highway. Team 4, Department 6 (Traffic Police Department) was present to regulate traffic.

The cause of the accident is being investigated by authorities.
