Installing AI cameras to prevent and fight crime in Phu Quoc

41 security cameras are installed at many key locations in Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang province to monitor security and order in the area.

On November 8, in Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang Provincial Police coordinated with relevant units and localities to launch a pilot operation of the AI ​​camera system to monitor security and order on the "pearl island" according to Project 06 of the Government.

The leader of Kien Giang Provincial Police said that the AI ​​camera system will help enhance security monitoring capabilities on the island. The AI ​​camera is integrated with features such as facial recognition, license plate recognition, behavior analysis and detection of unusual situations.

Bai Vong Passenger Port area is one of 7 traffic gateway locations, residential areas with security cameras installed.

These cameras will help local authorities manage traffic, monitor urban order and contribute to crime prevention on the island.

Previously, the relevant unit installed 41 cameras at 7 traffic gateways in Phu Quoc, including: Bai Vong Passenger Port, An Thoi Port, Phu Quoc International Airport, Corona Phu Quoc Casino, Phu Quoc night market area and Ho Chi Minh Square...

Phu Quoc City has also installed 6 security cameras at garbage hotspots to handle the situation of illegal dumping.
