Provincial People's Committee leaders inspect the project of developing residential area in Thap Cham 1

According to the investor, Kien Thanh Trading and Construction Company Limited, the Thap Cham Residential Area Development Project has a scale of 4.5 hectares, has completed leveling the ground, park area and drainage system; 90% of the infrastructure in phase 1 has been completed; phase 2 is underway, including 167 apartments, and a proposal to adjust the project scale for the social housing area. However, the project has encountered difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, while up to now the project has not had a specific land price, and difficulties in mobilizing investment capital have resulted in prolonged delays. The investor's representative proposed to adjust the project, the scale of the social housing area from 5 floors to 10 floors; extend the investment progress until October 2025 for completion.

Comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the situation and progress of project implementation.

Speaking at the inspection site, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested strict handling of violations of the project's slow progress. Relevant sectors and units review and consider the investor's recommendations on adjusting the scale and extending the project implementation period to ensure compliance with the planning and current regulations. Monitor and urge investors to ensure the project completion progress as committed. Investors need to demonstrate their capacity and determination to invest, speed up the project progress and soon promote investment efficiency, increase land use value. Phan Rang-Thap Cham City People's Committee should soon issue specific land prices to facilitate project implementation. For the Social Housing project, the investor needs to separate it into an independent project, with progress records and specific scale to submit to competent authorities for consideration and approval to ensure conditions and requirements.
