Soc Trang Provincial leaders work with National Power Transmission Corporation

STO - On the morning of March 25, at the People's Committee of Soc Trang province, provincial leaders including comrades: Lam Van Man - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Vuong Quoc Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; together with leaders of provincial departments, branches and relevant localities had a working session with the National Power Transmission Corporation on the relocation of the 220kV power grid under the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project.

Component 4 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project Phase 1 has 9 220kV transmission line towers affected, located in the following communes: Thanh Thoi An (Tran De district) with 2 towers affected; Dai Tam commune (My Xuyen district) with 5 towers affected and Ward 10 (Soc Trang city) with 2 towers affected. Relevant functional agencies have submitted for appraisal the design documents for relocating the 220kV transmission line; the Department of Electricity and Renewable Energy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) has issued a document requesting adjustment and supplementation of the documents according to regulations.

The current difficulty and problem is that the progress of the implementation of the estimate of compensation and support for the relocation of the 220kV line is still slow, not ensuring compliance with the plan and direction set by the Central Government, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee. The design documents and relocation estimates have not been approved by the competent authorities. Localities are slow to issue land acquisition notices and have not issued specific land prices. Currently, there are households requesting to move the pole position closer to the corner of the land plot to facilitate rice cultivation. Up to now, the National Power Transmission Corporation has not yet agreed to receive money to implement the relocation...

From the above advantages and difficulties, the leaders of the province, departments and branches of Soc Trang province and the leaders of the National Power Transmission Corporation discussed and proposed specific solutions for implementation.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Lam Van Man emphasized that, through the opinions exchanged at the meeting, Soc Trang province will send a document to the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposing to assign the National Power Transmission Corporation to relocate the 220kV power grid of Component Project 4 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project Phase 1; if approved, it will proactively implement design, construction, acceptance solutions... Relevant functional branches of the province will soon complete the dossier to determine the compensation value and relocation support to submit to competent authorities for approval. In which, carefully consider the options, minimizing the impact on people's rights when building new pillars.
