In the new, spacious and solid house, Mr. Pham Van Cung, My Huong commune, could not hide his joy when from now on his family no longer has to live in a dilapidated house. Being a near-poor household in the locality, his family's economy still has many difficulties, so Mr. Pham Van Cung has never thought about building a house. From the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in My Tu district, his family received support of 60 million VND, plus the family's savings, he was able to build a house with an area of about 40 square meters . Mr. Pham Van Cung shared: "Having a new house, my family is very excited. I would like to thank the Party, the State and the local government for their attention and support for housing for those subject to the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses. Having a solid place to live will be a great motivation for my family to continue working, producing, and striving to develop the economy."

Sharing the same joy as Mr. Pham Van Cung's family, Mrs. Vo Thi Bay's family in Long Hung commune was also excited to have a new house. Mrs. Vo Thi Bay said: "My husband and I do not have any land for production, we only work for hire to make ends meet. However, in recent years, my husband has been sick frequently, making life even more difficult. I never thought of building a new house. Thanks to the support of 60 million VND from the Temporary House and Dilapidated House Elimination Program, and the local support for the demolition work, I have a new house. After building the house, my family no longer has to worry about a place to stay, especially during the rainy season."
In My Tu district, there are 519 households eligible for support to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Of these, 389 households are building new houses and 130 households are repairing them with a total cost of over 27 billion VND. Determined to complete the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district before April 30, the Standing Committee of My Tu District Party Committee has focused on leading and directing the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for the subjects. Specifically, the Standing Committee of My Tu District Party Committee has established a Steering Committee to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in My Tu district and directed 9/9 communes and towns to establish commune-level steering committees. At the same time, a working group was established to assist the Steering Committee, organize the launching ceremony and the groundbreaking ceremony to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district. In addition, the Steering Committee for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the district regularly inspects and surveys the actual progress of housing construction for the subjects of the program, and works with the steering committees of communes and towns to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process.

According to comrade Tran Thi Nuong - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, the Party Committee, the government, sectors and organizations of My Tu district always identify the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district as an important political task of humane nature. Since then, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district has actively coordinated with socio-political organizations, armed forces, union members and youth in implementing the program, strengthening propaganda, mobilizing social resources, raising awareness and ideology for supported households. At the same time, carefully reviewing each procedure and each stage in the process of implementing and disbursing housing support capital.
